A Touch of Brass
is British Columbia's premiere brass quintet. For over 30 years, this outstanding ensemble has entertained and educated thousands through evening concerts and educational school concerts. 

The quintet has two CDs available: Stolen Moments and their latest recording for Christmas 2008 December

December showcases the writing talents of British Columbia's westcoast music scene. The CD includes fresh arrangements of Christmas classics by Canadian composers and arrangers Fred Stride, Bob Buckley, Brad Turner, Phil Dwyer, Tommy Banks, Tom Shorthouse and the late Dave Robbins. Featured is a new work "December" composed by Bob Buckley for Touch of Brass and the Elektra Women's Choir.

Stolen Moments is a compilation of great music, with new arrangements by members Tom Shorthouse, Geoff Leader, David Sabourin and local jazz writer Alan Matheson. Selections include Gershwin in Concert, Candide Overture, Stolen Moments, Basin Street Blues, Canadian Folk Song Rhapsody, Shepherd's Song, Duke Ellington Suite, Desifinado, Girl from Impanema and more.
